Working With Marble Construction

Marble works hard to ensure frequent communication with the customer.

A good relationship between the customer and the construction company is vital for both parties. Read below to find out the steps Marble takes to ensure a perfect partnership.

  • Marble always uses a written contract detailing what work is to be carried out, when, the cost and the payment schedule.
  • Marble helps to ensure that all necessary permissions (party wall, skip permits, planning permission and insurance) are achieved on time.
  • The customer should ensure everything is packed away before the start of construction (furniture, books, clothes, wall hangings and anything else in the building area). Marble always offers to help do this if necessary.
  • Both parties should agree on a location for skips and where tools and materials can be stored.
  • The customer should decide start and finish times every day to ensure neither they or the neighbors are disturbed by early or late work.
  • Marble will always ask for and follow house rules such as where boots can/can’t be worn and where dust sheets are required.

Marble Construction clean and hoover after each day on site.

  • Marble always supplies a portable toilet, kettle, mugs and a fridge on site to avoid disruption to the customer.
  • Children and pets should be kept away from the construction area, depending on the extent of the work, it may be more suitable to stay with friends or family during certain times of the build.
  • Marble always has a project manager on site to communicate with the customer.
  • The customer should try to not change their mind during construction as it can increase the cost of the build. If the customer does ask for extra work it will be agreed in writing.
