Hip to Gables

Hip to gables are a fantastic way to maximise your loft space. 3 sloped roofs found on many end of terrace properties or semi detached properties often require the side slope to be built up off the side wall to maximise the total footprint of the loft area.

Hip to gable loft conversions are complicated to construct as there are a lot of risks attached to building them compared to a traditional standard box dormer conversion. Hip to gables are classed as one of the hardest loft conversions to build.

The exterior finish will be either tile hung, block and rendered or block and pebble dashed. The final choice will be dependent on which of these finishes will look most in-keeping with your existing property.

Tiled Hip to Gable

All of our rendered and pebble dashed hip to gables will be completed in block work.

Incorporated in most of the gable walls we build is a double glazed window providing natural light to both the loft area and the new loft stairwell.
